LIFE MIBA FILLER research article published

The LIFE MIBA FILLER project has invited prof. Christopher Cheeseman of Imperial College London to publish an article on the research it has done regarding LIFE MIBA FILLER characterisation and testing in concrete applications.
The article is published in “Progress in Engineering Science”, Volume 2, Issue 1, March 2025 under the title: “Industrial trials using the mineral fraction of municipal solid waste incinerator bottom ash as a filler in unreinforced concrete products”.
The research demonstrates that LIFE MIBA filler particles are suitable for use in unreinforced concrete products, and that this is a viable reuse application for the fine mineral fraction of MIBA. The processing technology described contributes to urban mining, as it allows the mineral fraction of MIBA to be reused in commercially viable cementitious products.
